At Temple Ahavat Shalom, our Sisterhood is a vibrant, inclusive circle of women who come together to share friendship, support one another, and strengthen our connection to Jewish life. United in spirit and purpose, our mission is to foster and further the highest ideals of Reform Judaism, and to promote fellowship among its members by nurturing a community rooted in kindness, learning, and friendship.
Our Sisterhood brings women of all ages and backgrounds together through a wide variety of programs and experiences. Whether it’s diving into thoughtful discussions in one of our educational programs, enjoying a friendly game during our Sunday Mah Jongg gatherings (during Sunday School), discovering cherished recipes in our Holidays in the Kitchen cooking classes, or laughing late into the evening at one of our Girls Night Out events.
We’re proud to give back to our Temple and broader community in many heartfelt ways. Sisterhood hosts cherished traditions like the Break the Fast, maintaining the Judaica Shop, and supporting important causes through fundraising, Mitzvah Day, and educational and social awareness programming.
Through our fundraising efforts, we help support the Weaner Religious School, college outreach programs, the Hanukkah Festival, Purim Carnival, and other temple initiatives.
Above all, TAS Sisterhood is about connection: to our faith, our community, and each other. We welcome every woman who wants to grow, celebrate, and give alongside others in a warm and meaningful way. We hope you’ll join us and discover the joy, purpose, and friendship that come from being part of our Sisterhood.
