Weaner Religious School Staff

Tami Wolf, Religious School Director

Tami Wolf is a seasoned and creative Jewish Educator who is excited to be working with TAS.  She has been living in Palm Harbor with her “pack” including  husband Michael and three (now grown) children for the last 19 years -  the longest time she has lived in any one place. Tami is an art teacher at a Pinellas County public nonprofit charter school during the week days but has devoted much of her career to Jewish education.  Over the years, Tami has attended numerous Jewish education conferences and seminars including,  most recently, JNF’s world conference for Jewish educators in Israel in July of 2019.

Tami said that she is so happy to be involved with Jewish education again.   She says, “it truly is important work. The future of Judaism and the Jewish people and Israel depends on teaching the children and keeping people involved with Judaism. Thank you to Rabbi Berger and the search committee for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to meeting and getting to know all the families at TAS and to continue in the traditions of this warm, welcoming congregation.”

In the photo you can see the Wolfs' newest member of their pack, Smudge, from FLUFF animal rescue.

Please feel free to contact Tami by email by clicking Education@AhavatShalom.org.

Linda Ross, Bar/Bat Mitzvah Coordinator and Primary Tutor

Linda was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her and her husband Bill of 41 years are retired pharmacists and during our years in Milwaukee,  tutored/taught Hebrew for 25 years. Linda had her adult Bat Mitzvah in 1989. She ran the entire prayer service, chanted 21 sentences of Torah, and the entire Haftorah for that parsha. The day of her Bat Mitzvah, the Rabbi offered her a job to teach Torah trope and that year, she then began working with students. She formulated and improved her own materials over the years with the help of many student recommendations. Linda and her husband retired early and in 2015, moved to FL and joined Temple Ahavat Shalom immediately. In 2019, Linda started teaching 5 th grade and currently is the Temple’s 5 th grade Hebrew teacher.  Linda loves teaching children and loves to see the look on the students’ faces when the light goes on about Hebrew.
